“Bata” is a Filipino term for child. In Negros, “bata-bata” is a term used to refer to a handcrafted doll or a make-do toy in lieu of a real doll. Jojo Vito Designs Gallery created Masskara Caricatures as souvenir items called as “Bata-bata” . Bata-Bata is a comic representation of Filipinos representing various sectors in the society such as sport enthusiasts, tribal communities, students, doctors , workers, etc. These caricatures were designed holding a happy feathered mask and in various positions. “Bata-bata” is a handcrafted rendition in fiber glass, hand painted and accessorize with feathers for a complete Masskara look. These “Bata-bata” can be customized by writing any endearments , names, or corporate names in the shirt of the caricature.
